I understand your train of thought and there is some logic to it. But I suspect a lot of people are not aware of this. It would be great for the debate sponsors to have to explain why she is not there. More people will get the hint that the MSM is not so fair.
Thanks for the e-mail. I just fired one off.
keep getting error on page
Signed.
What OS are you using?
I had trouble the first time, using IE6 on Win 98, but shut down and rebooted into XP using IE7 and it worked.
Here was my email to PBS’ “Ombudsman for Editorial Integrity”:
I am absolutely outraged that Glen Ifill is going to be the moderator for the Palin/Biden debate! She has a direct actual conflict of interest in how the election is decided! I am aware that she will make up to $350,000 or more based upon the number of books she sells about Obama. How in the world could you allow her to go forward as the moderator?!!!
As an attorney, I would be severely sanctioned if I had this much of a conflict, yet you have done nothing to stop this. The results of a Presidential election could rest on how she handles this debate. How dare you allow her to continue!!!
I demand that you immediately replace her with Jim Lehrer or some other objective even handed moderator, who can perform with honesty, integrity, and above all, no personal stake in the outcome!
If you do not replace Ifill, I can guarantee you I will never ever contribute donations to PBS again, and I will make sure everybody knows what you did to sway this election in Obama’s favor.
If you don’t believe it, just try me!
Walter Williams would be an excellent moderator.
All I ask for is someone who’s fair. I’m sick and tired of the gotcha! type interviews from the likes of Couric and Gibson and their kind!
DONE!

Dear Ms. Brown
In the interest of fairness, the integrity of the Commission on Presidential Debates which you serve; and for the sake of a demonstrable effort to ENSURE a lack of bias in the sponsorship and presentation of the Vice-Presidential Debate scheduled for Thursday October 2, 2008,
I urge you to replace Ms. Gwen Ifill and the moderator of this event.
The writings she has penned and the pending book deal /release regarding the presidential candidate Barack Obama are certainly cause for the average American to question her immediate suitability for this position, and the Commissions warranty of a fair-minded moderator for this debate.
Ms. Ifill indeed
has a dog in this fight
vis-à-vis her potential to personally profit from the outcome of this years presidential election.
FOUL!!
Please do the right thing, even if it means postponing the debate in order to ensure a level playing field for the candidates.
We the people
. are not stupid, nor ignorant;
Neither are we as undiscerning and distracted as some politicians and their operatives might hope we are...
And
We the people
are watching YOU!
Thanks for your time
Well said, and spot on. I’m sick and tired of Obama’s servile supplicants in the major media. There’s not the slightest pretense of anything even remotely resembling objectivity. It it were up to Gwen Ifill they’d crown the Dalai Bama with the royal diadem this instant.
