I can't help but think the same thing about him wearing down... the abundantly optimistic side of me wants to believe that he is laying low, knowing that there are big things about to unfold, such as investigations connecting Nobama to scandal associated with Freddie/Fannie, or something else... that's about all the optimism I can muster based on his recent behavior. If there is no smoking gun or perfect end game strategy that we're going to see burst open, we may just be seeing a slow painful death of a campaign and candidate unfolding before our eyes. Criticize the polling sampling data all you want... IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID! and McCain is getting his clock cleaned in the arena of public perception.
My wife, who hates Obama and Biden, keeps saying they are going to win. Regardless of polls, Sarah, information getting to the people, ASSama is going to carry the day. And she is not a gloom and doomer, she just recognizes that most people are in love with what ASSama keeps saying and don’t care if it is lies. They want it and will put him in to get it.
I am beginning to think she is right.
You are hardly a credible source for breaking news.
McCain is trying to be Presidential and knows that if the Dow drops to 8,000 his chances of getting elected are slim. He has not lost a damn thing yet.
Is this the bipartisianship strategy Bush held to in his early days? Didn’t take long to realize that Pelosi, Kennedy and their minions have absolutely no desire to “come together”.
We need the tide to turn...........I pray for that every day.
I cannot fathom living under an O presidency.
Someone mentioned yesterday moving to Alaska. :)
I haven’t given up. I am on other boards trying to make these undecided voters learn about the hidden O.
Not all people who’ve recently “signed up” are what you call “trolls”...Speaking for myself, I’m a 60 year old Vietnam vet and have voted conservative in every election I’ve been eligible to vote in...I only recently found this site when I looked at “The Right Links” on the internet...
Please don’t lump us all together...Just call me “Happy to be here...”
>> McCain is owned by the banks.
IMO his actions on this bailout have been wrong-headed and tone-deaf, pretty much from the beginning up through now. He started off OK, suspending his campaign and getting his butt to Washington to do his job... but it all went downhill from there.
But I haven’t seen a shred of evidence that he’s beholden to “big finance”. I think he’s just committing a big blunder.
(BTW I *support* McCain and am planning on voting for him, if anyone wonders.)
I think every Senator is, including Bernie Sanders (D-Socialist). The banks control political donations, always have.
Luckily Obama is another ineffective Senator, and not a outsider Governor.
I've been here almost 11 years, and I've been called plenty of things. I could care less.
Send in the Viking Kitties?
Well said.
It’s a good thing most of us are hunters. It’s going to be rough-living while the GOP is in the wilderness.
He is not a troll. A little excitable and nervous maybe...who the hell isn't? But definately not a troll.
I think you’ve about summed it up, Thane_Banquo.
I dare you to tell that to a Moderator.
The last time I saw someone backtalk a Moderator using the same line of reasoning you now use, that Freeper got zotted.
Gee. ScottinVA, DougTX. Both come on board in September?
Nope people, nothing to see here, moveon....moveon.
Three words:
Palin.
Palin.
Palin.
McCain is blowing this, by hiding Sarah. She’s the reason he got that convention bounce.
Not platitudes to “my friends”.
It’s Sarah. And that dynamite aggresive acceptance speech of hers.
Where did that go???
Good Gosh, now that you have called the election I guess I can stay home. Do you have any insight on what I can expect after Senator Obama is elected and what can be done to stop it. I stand by to serve.
I hope you are right about the politics of the matter with McCain’s potential electability.
But you must confess that he has seemed half-asleep since the debate. His performance in Des Moines yesterday was HORRIBLE.
