I saw trhe interview as well....I thought McCain did poorly....
He stated he supported the bill that died yesterday and really showed no leadership as how to move forward.
In this case, it wasn’t what he said but what he didn’t.

No one knows exactly what is going on with this financial mess. Many experts say something has to be done to help the small business and regular people including all our 401k’s.
In the meantime I still think John McCain will explain when the time is right, it may not be today.
I only know this mess is here to get O elected!

Perhaps the House Republicans whose objections to the bailout bill gave sufficient cover to House Democrats terrified of their constituent calls to join them in torpedoing the legislation will be proved right somehow, and legislation can be substantively improved or the market can somehow stabilize on its own in the intervening days before a new bill can be designed. Perhaps the stock markets around the world will not crash. Perhaps the credit markets will not instantly calcify. Perhaps the fact that Republicans broke against the bill 2-to-1 will not lead to a general consensus that the failure of the bailout legislation was entirely due to Republicans, since 94 Democrats voted against it as well. Perhaps people will accept the Republican complaint that Nancy Pelosi gave a really nasty speech just before the vote tally and made ten Republicans so angry they decided to vote “nay.”

He posted a different vanity last night “McCain Has 48 Hours to Fix His Campaign.”
Is anyone getting the idea yet that McCain is wearing down and as the campaign drags on, seems to just want it to get over with? I don’t see that with him all the time, but it does seem to surface occasionally, especially lately.
He posted a similar vanity last night. He doesn’t need to post a new vanity each time his brain engages. He could have simply added this to the last one.

Republican elites in the Bush cabal don’t really want to be in power, or exercise their power. They want to be liked by the liberal media establishment. What they don’t get is that being liked by the media establishment is only possible if you make them happy by accepting permanent minority party status.
The good news is that both he and his opponent are inept on this topic, which leaves us no choice but to vote on the other issues. McCain wins.
