My somewhat facetious comment was meant in belief that most of what comes out in movies each year is a waste of effort. If less money is tossed at junk we might get less of it.
But with "Inside Man" I have come to realize that he's quite a good movie-maker, if he will just drop his "it's all about race" attitude.
I'm not saying that it was a masterpiece, and for some reason, it really reminded me of "The Usual Suspects," though I really don't have a reason for that. It was a very enjoyable movie, and well made. To be honest, I had no idea that Spike Lee was involved with the movie until the second time I saw it.

In the meantime, Spike Lee has stiffed the IRS for over $3 million in back taxes.
