These two men conducted an extensive detailed analysis of the FAA radar data and have shown that there was a real physical object that was witnessed on January 8, 2008. In addition to the witnesses and the radar data, there are video recordings and even a police radar gun was used to track the object.

I was always taught that Esquire was an honorific, and it was bad etiquette to refer to oneself as such.

I defy anyone to accurately gauge size, altitude and speed of any object in the sky. Size is relative to a known.
An object 5 feet long subtends a different arc size depending on the distance away from the viewer.\

Law Encyclopedia: Esq.
This entry contains information applicable to United States law only.
An abbreviation for esquire, which is a title used by attorneys in the United States. The term esquire has a different meaning in English law. It is used to signify a title of dignity, which ranks above gentleman and directly below knight.
In the United States, Esq. is written after a lawyer’s name, for example: John Smith, Esq.

I’m not a UFO fan, but this is an interesting report. The MUFON report (warning, it’s a large pdf file) is also interesting. It’s worth reading at least the initial summary.
Inconclusive, as usual. But it looks as if several sorties of jet fighters, were sent out to have a look at it. And there are several military and/or LEO witnesses.

Was the Stephenville UFO a National Security Threat?
Since wormhole traveling space monsters don't exist, no.

More than 30 people saw this thing and not one of them had their cell phone with them to snap a pic?

Funny how these damned thing always show up when NOBODY has a camera or a cell phone with a camera.
Otherwise I have no doubt this would be a very impressive story.

so writing esquire after one’s name would be like me signing my name “Mr KMS61.”

The Radiation Story
The idea for gathering together a group of scientists, to whom we referred as our “panel of experts,” had been conceived early in 1952 - as soon as serious talk about the possibility that the UFO’s might be interplanetary

...and even a police radar gun was used to track the object.Police radar has been known to track speeding trees also.

It was probably a secret US aircraft. There is a naval air station in FW that has flight paths directly over Stephenville...Lockhead Martin tests aircraft from that field and is right next door to the NAS. There are other defense contractors all throughout the region.
Nothing to lose sleep over.

The suspicious side of me sometimes thinks, newbies purposefully post crap like this as an attempt to somehow discredit FreeRepublic by filling it up with bilge. But maybe that's just the suspicious side of me.
