Relax! Eventually, they'll go away.
I can bear witness.
...but they don't go away. Not for a long time. By which time they've had next year's fall added to them.
So how are things on the other coast today?
Beautiful Indian Summer day here.
What am I doing inside?
Hiding from the Evil Yellow Face. sunburn and skin cancer?
Nah. Eating a late lunch.
Then I’ll go out and putter. I’ll glance at the rake, and laugh derisively.
It has definitely turned to autumn here. 40F, sun low in the trees...
K-k-k-kold!
It was 45 last night with a north wind at about 35mph!
*shudder*
Right now, it’s 59, with wind from the north at around 13.
I need to dig out my longies!
Yep...chills go with the nausea and fever...only three of the symptoms I deal with most days. Most of the time I have more, so when I only have those three, I consider myself lucky!
And it’s also why I feel bad for you ~~ I KNOW how you feel!
Hey, Bob!
Why don’t you come to Vegas and meet sion and I? :o])
We're having a big musical to-do for Mass tomorrow for the anniversary of the birth of R. Vaughn Williams (his passing was 50 years ago). I'd hate to miss it.
I don’t know why I don’t.
If I sponge off my friends, it shouldn’t cost much.
.
When?
Fever is rising. Back later...
...Well, not American just yet... but working on it! Been back in the country for a month, living in NYC.
And as an Aussie living in NYC without a car, I’d say that miles-per-gallon ratio might be a trifle low... LOL. :)
WOO-HOO!!!!
Welcome to the USA!
*HUG*
*HUG*
How are things going?
sion said he was scheduled to be here the 20-22 (correct me if I’m wrong, sion!) and I’m REALLY looking forward to it! It would be so fun with you here, as well!
:o[
*HUG*
Not too badly, in fact.
We had to leave Oz in a hurry - hubby’s grandma died in early Sept. - and fly over for the funeral. Figured we might as well stay... so, yeah, we have an apartment in Queens and life is good. Been in touch with a former FReeper pal of ours in Brooklyn, and have even got to have lunch with my brother! (That was a surprise. I called him late one night, thinking he was on the West Coast, but no, he was over in NYC for a couple weeks. Sweet!)
Watching the election hoo-hah up close is an education in itself! (Then again, so is NYC. The difference between the last time I lived here and now? Chalk and cheese. I guess I’m just a big-city girl, and central Connecticut was too quiet...)
Sorry to hear you’re ill. My back’s playing up from sitting on this floor too long (we’re still getting furniture, LOL - high-speed internet came FIRST!) so I daresay I won’t be around too much longer, myself. Just came in to say g’day to a few old friends.... :D
This is spoken by a true Obama supporter. Lead them into the booth and put their hand on the line that says OBAMA, then carefully instruct them to press firmly where the little dotted line shows a hole. Then, take the other 20 ballots under theirs and take them to the Poll Attendant (Also a dedicated Democrat) to have them promptly validated, no questions asked.
It’s how the “Democratic” system works.
LOL!
I’m glad you’re here!
I have a friend in Queens, and even spent a week there right after I moved here. I saw a lot of stuff I thought I’d never see, and it was pretty fun.
NYC is one city that was on the bottom of all my lists, but when I went, I decided to erase any preconceived ideas about it. In doing so, I was very pleasantly surprised!
When I look back on it, it was a quite surprising week, and I’m VERY glad I had the chance to go!
Let me know if you get a yen to come West, again! Vegas is still growing!
