You can no longer send packages with strings on them down here. The USPS says no, but they were the ones you should.

Maybe Brown paper packages are wrapped with 2” tape.

"Could be that Dean is a wild animal."

That or a primal primate.

I'll have to write another story to answer that one.

I'll call it "The Office Meeting". Stay tuned.

Well, I didn't mean it would be immediate.

This takes time, cogitation, reflection, beer, and maybe even an overnight snooze.

After all, why should I sweat my skull when I have a subconscious to do that sort of thing?

Your subconscious does beer? (Well, then there were my frat days -- spent significantly in learning how to choke down the stuff *\;-)

I didn't say "antennae a-quiver" though. Got enough stuff to occupy my time for now -- being sick for a few days allowed me to discover have many unfinished SF anthologies I've collected over recent years (purchased for one trip or another and untouched since); I am now down to two, one of which is going to Las Vegas with me tomorrow.

Let me know when you’re desperate enough to be willing to read my stuff, and I’ll make it available.

That should cure you of sleeping for a while.

Good morning, Bob. 37 here - perfect day for staying in bed, but we couldn’t. Ah, to be rich ...

“Breaking the ice” came from the tendency of the pitcher of water on the washstand to form a skim of ice overnight, in the unheated bedrooms of the time.

Before you could wash the sleep from your eyes, you had to “break the ice” and pour some water into the basin to wash with.

It wasn’t always the rich who led social discourse.

What a cheerful thought! My outdoor temperature-beeber says 27, btw. The tv-weather feed must be coming from a warm area of Charlotte.

I got the children some warmer clothes yesterday, but the pants didn’t fit Elen. We’ll have to go back and exchange later today. Dragons are not happy, even with their heat lamps!

It is cooling off a bit in the house. I may have to go around and see that the windows are properly closed and secured. Eventually, I suppose I’ll have to activate the furnace.

Waiting for the sun to defrost the van windows before I go to Walmart.

My forecast is 60’s to low 70’s for the next several days. I think I’ll go around and latch all the windows, too. I hate to turn the furnace on this early in the year!

Morning.

I’m looking forward to sionnsar’s visit and I promise he’ll take photos!! I will, too, but you probably won’t see them except in email. ;o]

He picked a good day to visit, for sure!
