I can certainly understand that rational for knowing, but I just didn’t want to know. I think I figured that the challenges would be there regardless and I was already nervous about it as it was.
I think it’s a matter of choice, but other than seeing those who have Downs Syndrome baby as “cruel”, I see them as heroes.
I don't believe this is exactly correct.
Chance of a Downs Syndrome baby by age of mother:
17 - 1 in 1565
30 - 1 in 909
35 - 1 in 384
40 - 1 in 112
45 - 1 in 28
50 - 1 in 6
Odds get kind of scary out there on the end of the scale.
