And many of them will be voting for Palin.
The point is that Palin brings in new voters to McCain’s fold. A lot more.
Biden doesn’t bring any over to Obama.
In fact, Biden may very well lose a lot of voters for Obama who feel he betrayed his message of Change by bringing in a 30+ year Washington insider. And then there are the Hillary supporters who feel slighted by the selection of Biden.

The question is: who is voting for Obama because of Biden’s presence on the ticket who otherwise would not have voted for him? No one.

Now who is voting for McCain because of Sarah Palin’s presence on the ticket? A lot of people, including, quite possibly, you.

Everyone better understand, BTW, that Sarah’s situation is the exact opposite of Hillary’s:
If McCain/Palin lose the election, then Sarah’s stock goes way down, and she is will not likely get the GOP nomination in 2012. But if Obama/Biden lose the election, then Hillary is pretty much guaranteed the 2012 Democrat nomination.

So we gotta work extra hard for Sarah this November, while the Hillary supporters stay home and wait for 4 years.

Your point was that there were two people to vote for on the Republican ticket. A lot of us will only be voting for Palin. That is ONE person, so just like the Dems and those that may only be voting for Obama, the second person is only along for the ride. They equal out.

Umm, no, my point was there are two people to vote for, which means McCain gets two chances at winning voters, and pulls from two totally different types of voters, too.

There is no one on Obama’s ticket to vote for but Obama. If Obama misses scoring a vote, Biden isn’t going to pick it up on a rebound. No one is going to be voting for Biden. Many will be voting for Palin. I’m not sure how many times and how many different ways I have to explain this for some people to get it.

There are people that will feel better knowing that Biden is on the ticket with his foreign policy experience that might have been uncomfortable with Obama not having any. so, what you say is untrue.

The two tickets equal out. Those that want Obama will vote for him, no matter who his VP pick was. The same is NOT true for McCain.

Another way to look at it is

Does Biden actually hurt the ticket? No, but McCain does.

FWIW, I made a sticker and put it on magnetic backing. I get plenty of people in Austin telling me I am the #1 driver on the road, but a lot of thumbs up as I get closer to home.

That picture of the Obama camp with the woman on the phone and Che Gueverra in the background and its caption needs to be a bumper sticker. I know it can’t because of size, but that picture needs to get out there. Maybe a window cling?

I disagree with your logic. If they lose, it will be because of McCain, not Sarah. People will easily know that and be glad to nominate her for 2012.

But let’s hope and pray they have victory come this November.

I have that sticker on my car, and proudly drove through Cambridge, Mass. with it, garnering a few dirty looks. Of course, they likely also saw the other sticker tending to indicate that the driver was carrying a weapon (I was), so they left me alone. ;-)

Do you think that would fit on a bumper sticker?

Sure, just make sure it's larger than 1 font size....

Oddly enough tho, I've never seen a socialist bumper sticker that was vandalized.....wonder why?

Their car's already defaced by the stickers.
