I got so disgusted with the coverage from 90s til this year. I don’t mind hearing about an athlete’s struggle but it seemed they really over did it for many years...all the sob stories of the athletes from certain countries, etc.

I think NBC did a decent job this time.

I totally agree. I normally watch more of the winter games then summer (I’m a big hockey fan) and Salt Lake and Torrino coverage was horrible. Like you said, too much focus on personalities and not the sports.

Well at least with the next Winter games in Vancouver, we should see a lot more live coverage. I preferred CBS’ Winter coverage than NBC’s.

And I think this time NBC was better, but they still can’t hold a candle to the job ABC used to do with the Olympics.
