Take them from the dryer and put them in a receptacle (”basket”) for disposal by expert contractors. “Iron”?

“Basement”? Watch out for zombies and dust bunnies!

What an annoying day this is already. I’m going to go look for more things to give away.

Good morning, everyone. No breakfast was served because I was on the phone with my mechanic about both my cars. Both of them need fixing.

Sigh.... Why does this all happen at once? Guess I’m just lucky.

Off to class now. Bye!

Morning, everyone. I think.
It’s too early for breakfast. It’s too early for getting out of bed. I’m already looking forward to 5:30...*yawn*

So outside of trading kids, houses, breakfast, cars, things and Dust Bunnies, how are y’all?

“Anyway, the appliance formerly known as “the dryer” is emitting this buzzing sound.”

What do call ‘the appliance formerly known as “the dryer” ‘now? This information will help understand the present mindset toward the object and help direct proper action.

This ignoring the fact that it has been over 10 hours since the perplexing problem was pronounced.

The options:

(a) Work

(b) Delegate

(c) Contract out.

What would a good conservative do?

(a) is always a good choice for a conservative.

(b) is also among the choices for a conservative.

(c) is also among the choices well with in the practices of a conservative.

So we need another test.

Note: Given the time as noted earlier a conservative would have already made a choice.

What would congress do?

(a) Believes work is abstract and is a noun. Nothing happens.

(b) This is what subcommittees are for. Nothing happens.

(c) This might be a possible out come but would first be referred to (b)

There is no need to continue because a good conservative would have acted long before congress and already have the work done.

What did you do?

And what do you call the appliance in question?

Morning, Miss Slip -- and welcome to the Undead Thread!

It's Moving Day; who knows where we will be tomorrow?

Yawning and annoyed. Powerpoint due Friday and another next Wednesday (which means Saturday because of travel)...

There are things waiting for me to do today, but I’m going to beg off.

They will still be there tomorrow. :o|

I’m doing okay. I can have some vegetable soup in about 10 minutes. I’m eating a serving of leftovers out of the freezer every day. It rained a little this morning, just enough to keep things soggy. I’d like to give more things away (haven’t even looked in the boys’ closet) but the van is full.

Ungh.

Soup may be on the menu here, today, too. Chicken noodlyoo. But that will be later. I have to wake up, first.

The vegetable soup was filling (for now) but I know I’ll be hungry later.

Yep. The only soup I really like is potato soup, and on occaion, bean with bacon. The rest of them are far too watery, and mostly too salty.

Maybe some French or Italian bread and some dipping oil with your soup, next time?

I wish I could say that. Now I have to do my expense report for the recent trip.

It wouldn’t be a Weight Watchers meal with bread and oil :-).

It’s got lots of garlic, though.

Now I need to get Sally some lunch, and then teach the girls to read Roman numerals. Of all the utterly useless things ... but it’s On The Test.

Oy.
You’d be bored silly.
I LIKED working. It was fun, because the job I had required contact with people from varied backgrounds and health issues.
The idea of quitting was very difficult for me to comtemplate, but once I made the decision, I realized that on one level, it was the best thing for me to do.
On another level, I miss it enormously.

They have to read Roman Numerals in case they ever have to call IX II.

Wednesday thought that was funny!

Oh, here’s Tom back from ambulating. Can’t call it “running” when he’s going less than 4 mph!

Good for Wednesday!
LOL!
Four mph? I can walk faster than that! (But not for the entire mile...)

Perhaps he needs some turbo jets on his running shoes.
