But I'm still not 100 percent sure that Betty was the one (or at least the only one) with the problem in the first place. So I've just started another experiment: I just confined Norman to the spare bathroom, outfitted with his own food, water, and litter box. What I want to find out is 1)whether Betty will use the floor instead of the litter box she has access to; and 2) whether Norman is peeing at all. He eats, drinks, and acts just fine otherwise, but he doesn't want to go near the box. That may just be because Betty has been attacking him every time, but then again it may be some other problem entirely.
Norman doesn’t like being stuck in the spare bathroom (aka kitty prison), but he did eat, drink, and use the litter box in there. He yowled for a long time last night for me to let him out, but I was able to go to sleep anyway. I think I’ll spring him when I get home from work this evening and see how Betty reacts.
Norman may well be frightened to use his regular litter box. He doesn't know that Betty got her meds . . . .
