I've written the inventory control software for a sizeable produce company for many years. About 4 years ago, they opened up a subsidiary company that deals in 'more exotic' produce items.

Some years ago, I had some fun w/a couple of their salesmen involving habaneros. Long story short, I acquired a reputation as someone who 'could eat anything'. Naturally, given this backdrop, when a palette of small boxes of Nagas came in, the salesmen bet me I couldn't eat one.

Fact is -- without my handy-dandy couple of pats of butter stuffed into my cheeks -- there is/was NO WAY, no effing way, that I could have eaten that pepper. Even with the butter (butter, and fats generally, dissolve oleoresin capsicum, which is the 'hot' chemical in this family of pepper, but neither water nor beer will dissolve it), I could barely finish it.

You want to eat Nagas? Just be bloody careful! Murderously hot.

This chap seemed a pro...bit of a masochist, but what the hey, right?

Nice to have my (once, and ONLY once, trust me!) experience confirmed on video.

Folks, just DO NOT screw around with Nagas, they are ultimate hard-core BRUTAL.
