Happy Thursday, FRiends. Man ... this week is flying by.
 Today's Holiday Celebrations are .....

Senior Citizen's Day!

 A reporter was interviewing a 104 year-old woman:
"And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?" the reporter asked.

She simply replied, "No peer pressure."

Hawaii Statehood Day

 THE PINK PALACE

 There is a lady
 You should know
 Who lives in sunshine
 Far from snow
 Blushing crimson
 By the sea
 The oldest landmark
 On Waikiki
 Sandy beaches
 Tiki's flame
 The Pink Palace
 Is her name
 Come and visit
 And if you do
 "Aloha Nui"
 Her gift to you.

 Phenomenal!

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:1
At 3:00 one August morning, I awoke to experience a total lunar eclipse. It began at the precise moment the astronomers predicted and progressed just as they said it would. In one sense, it was a natural, recurring event, but it was also a phenomenal glimpse at the power and glory of God.
As the earths shadow crept slowly across a bright full moon, the psalmists words came to mind: When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? (Ps. 8:3-4).
Planet earth is not all about us, but by Gods design, it involves us. The psalmist marveled at the heavens, but he was more amazed that the great Creator, whose glory is above the heavens, included us in His grand plan for the ages.
To worship any part of Gods creation stops short of giving glory to the One who made it. The Bible lifts our eyes to see that all creation proclaims the glory of God, who has showered His grace and love on us through Christ.
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! (Ps. 8:1).

Fair is the sunshine, fairer still the moonlight,
 And all the twinkling starry host;
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels heaven can boast. Anon.
