All this talk about record profits is nothing more than ENVY and JEALOUSY!

They don’t. I work for a company that almost lost a bid one time because a government functionary didn’t know how to read a balance sheet. He thought that becase assets equaled liabilities the company had no operating cash. Seriously. He had no idea that a balance sheet was support to, um, balance.

Exactly right, it’s about sheer volume not % of profits.

If you sold a thousand ice cream cones on a street corner on a hot summer day, your profits would be up also even if your cones were reasonable.
