Now that I can see. Get him out of the conference.
TB can deal with the salary cap issue if they trade it right.
Green bay has a huge problem if Farve tries to come back and play for them because the team was designed this year without Farves contract on it. If he retired, it wouldn’t count against the cap, but if he shows up for camp, that means Packs take the full hit and go way over the cap.
You said it. That is how I feel. I think he has some kind of emotional disturbance.
Sad.
Josh Johnson? John Henrys son? Who?

His contract has one year left.
I don’t think you’ll get many pack fans jumping ship to follow Farve to become Vikings fans. He’s loved but not that loved. The only ones are bandwagon fans who only were there because of Farve and from what I’ve experienced, GB has very loyal fans to the franchise.
OK, thanks.
Now he makes nearly 13 million a year. That was not planned on when GB was planning for camp.
Have you seen a pic of Greybeard Brett lately?
I think it’s called “Bought Into My Own Hype Syndrome”. Symptoms include arrogance, immaturity & the unique ability to make starry eyed fans believe you’re one of them.
But seriously, he needs to retire & get this story out of the news before he does more damage to his legacy. He can be remembered fondly or he can be the butt of jokes. It’s up to him.
They won’t go over the cap, but most of the preparations for the team moving on without him go out the window, and there are going to be some really good players on the team that now can’t get the extension and money they deserve, and others that need to be cut, just because Favre decided he wanted one more year.
Most of the speculation I’ve seen says his family and agent are pushing for his return, and they can’t keep their dang mouths shut, continuously leaking things to the press.
Packer management, on the other hand has kept things pretty close to the vest and prefer to negotiate in private.
“His contract has one year left.”
Actually, he’s got three more years including this one. Which is a problem, since the guy who’s supposed to take over for him has two more years.
I had to say something about Garcia. They’re both old, ugly, and went to tier II schools
I chose old.

LOL. But Garcia’s wife(beard?) is effin’ hot.

Hummina, hummina, hummina.
BTW: He and Favre both have a pro championship
What? Did Garcia win a CFL championship, or some celebrity golf tournament?
Mark my words, Ted Thompson is the one in the mix that will be the butt of jokes. Talk about Favre's ego all you want, but this whole imbroglio is a symptom of Thompson's ego. He wants so desperately to put his stamp on the team. Rodgers was his first draft pick. But Rodgers has never even started a game and he has been injured twice. Favre has the longest streak ever and was voted Packer's MVP last season. How do you dump your MVP, pro-bowl QB for an unknown quantity that has shown durability issues without even getting playing time?
He who laughs last, laughs best. Thompson won't be doing much laughing. When, not if, Rodgers goes down with an injury this year, Packers fans that stuck by Thompson will begin to see him for the fool he is.

adding 13 million back onto their payroll will effect things greatly.
They might have most of their draft picks signed and the majority of their free agents signed as well, but the preseason games haven’t even started yet. Not only do you use your available cap space to help figure out what the final roster of players are going to be, but it influences your practice squad makeup, and as those pre-season games go on, there will be lots of players being cut by all those teams. Some of them might not of been useful for those teams, but some of them might prove very useful to Greenbay depending on their weak spots or if any injuries occur during camps and pre-season games.
Farve right now adding 13 million back onto their salary cap can greatly change things for that team.
Odd, I only see him as a TWO time MVP, and a one time CO-MVP.....something most Packer/Favre fans like to ignore
