Two [black] teens charged with murdering two [white] men outside a Christian music studio in Garland [Texas] on Thursday admitted to killing and robbing Matthew Butler and Stephen Swan.Source (with video interview)The suspects' jailhouse interviews on Monday revealed shocking details of the crime and included cussing aimed directly at the victims' families.
James Broadnax and his cousin Demarius Cummings are each charged with capital murder.
Broadnax on Monday said he and Cummings smoked marijuana and took a bus to Garland in order to commit a robbery.
"One of the best spots is Garland because that's where all the rich, white people stay at," Broadnax said.
The 19-year-old said he and Cummings spotted the victims outside the Zion Gate recording studio and approached them, asking for a cigarette before opening fire and taking off in the victims' car.
"I had this little pistol or whatever … shot they bitch head. Popped in their shit and rolled up," he said.
Broadnax said his life has been hell and that he did not regret the killings. In fact, he cussed the victims' families.
"F--- them. Straight up," he said before breaking down in tears and abruptly ending his interview.
Butler owned Zion Gate, and Swan was his chief engineer and best friend.Source (with photos of the victims)Butler's wife Jamie said the studio and music were her husband's passions.
She had spoken to him around 12:30 a.m. and he told her they were wrapping up for the night. Not long after, she received a phone call from police informing her that her husband was dead.
Jamie had a message for the person who took away her husband and the father of their children.
"I hope that whoever did this that they would come to know Christ," she said.
"I hope and pray that my husband gets a chance to meet them in heaven and gets a chance to shake their hand and gets a chance to forgive them himself."
Personally, I’d have told her to run... If get the sh#+ kicked out me, but my wife and daughters get away, I’ll call it a “win” from my hospital bed or even from the morgue.

I would hope here in OK...that if I got jumped from behind with other people all around..some other person "carrying" would help me out.

I know that at least when I was in the Czech Republic I felt completely safe and at home. My wife wandered all over Czech cities and I felt fine about it. But here, I won’t let my wife go out at night. And even during the day I don’t feel comfortable. Are you planning on moving for safety reasons and to raise a family in the spot you picked out?

Thanks! This is one of those “obvious” statements that too many new CHL holders don’t think about. Shooting once and learning what can get you arrested is not preparing you to defend yourself. I don’t shoot as much as I should, but put about 50 rounds a month through my Sigma .40 cal.

It was a hard painful conclusion for me too and I agree. I came to that conclusion on my own when I was thinking one day about the areas that I feel safe in and those that I don’t. And coupled that with crime stats and the news (my brother is a cop) and then with all the diversity nonsense, I arrived at this point. I just want to raise my family in peace.

on one of those true crime shows, it had video of two incidents , both with black perps....both times the one being attacked or robbed fought back and won the fight....both times the intended victims were Russkies....
