That or a mutation causes a loss of function or specificity, and that is claimed as a new function. An example is sickle cell anemia. Because half a person’s red blood cells are deformed and deficient, they have better immunity to a virus that attacks red blood cells. It’s like saying a man born without legs has evolved because he is immune to toenail fungus. It’s hardly a positive development.

How is that argument relevant to the experiment under discussion?

The headline alone puts this article in the arena of politics, not science.

"How is that argument relevant to the experiment under discussion?"

It's a broadening of the discussion from one particular biological experiment to the general failing of evoluntionist claims of positive mutations.

What I asked was how your generalization applies to this experiment.

"What I asked was how your generalization applies to this experiment."

So you're asking me how a generalization applies to a specific situation? It's a generalization. It applies generally to entire body of claims by evolutionists about positive mutations.

The fact is there are thousands of genetic mutations that result in genetic disease, many of these do not render the victim incapable of reproducing so they are inherited. These mutations weaken the human race.

I've heard a total of 3 mutations advanced by evolutionists as postive mutations and two of those are clearly just disease and just sad. Those two would be the sickel cell anemia and the German superbaby.

The only one that may truly be a positive is the Italian immune defect that clears out arterial blockage. And this was the result of loss of specificity. An immunce cell designed to attack one particular thing, has become more general with the result of clearing arteries. It's not clear if there is a downside to this one yet.

Yes. That's the idea. How does your generalization apply to this experiment?
