Actually, why do they have to use his middle name at all?

In my view, it's just a sneaky way for the lamestream media to sneer at the name of a great American and symbol of patriotism, i.e., John Wayne. They don't "have " to include his middle name, they could just refer to the schmuck as "John Bobbitt".

I read a story about Lorena Bobbit in a pro-life publication sometime after the “event”. The story I read is that one year prior exactly to the date that she did the crime, her husband forced her to have an abortion, and that she mutilated him on the first anniversary of that incident. Supposedly she never got over the abortion and blamed him and wanted to take away his masculinity because she felt that part of her womanhood had been taken away from her.

That sounds awfully freakin' convenient if you ask me, I'm as pro-life as the next person (perhaps even more so) but I wouldn't want the sausage-severing Lorena as the new poster gal for ANYthing.

Lorena is a violent thug who deserved a prison sentence, and her ex-husband probably deserved one too. Neither is a convincing victim or hero.

Her canonization by the feminists showed what they really think of brutal domestic violence that leaves one spouse mutilated for life. They approve of it wholeheartedly if the woman does it.

I've never been exposed to abuse (unless, by today's standards when I got spankings as a child--that I earned!) but I can't understand how some people laugh and make jokes about it.

If a man is beating his wife and she kills in self defense that is one thing. If a son sees his mom getting beaten badly by his dad and he kills him in rage or defense that is also one thing.

When a woman mutilates her husband while he sleeps and then tries to cover her ass in court by claiming to have been "raped" by him and that he was abusive falls into the bullshit category.

I could care less about these two people but way to many women relished in the idea of a woman mutilating her husband as did the press.
