That is one weird dude....
I hate to break this to you, Vulcan, but Kate Pierson is an admitted lesbian. Fred and Keith are gay. The only straight person in the B-52’s is Cindy Wilson, who has been married for 22 years and has 2 kids.
I knew both the guys were gay, but I didn’t know Kate was a lesbo!
Yup. It’s also quoted in her wikipedia.com entry as she being an “out lesbian”.
I guess being in the B-52’s makes one gay.
Believe it or not,Dio's early work with Elf wasn't heavy metal, but really bluesy stuff..I found a CD with his Elf years and it's definately different from his later music which I think started with his work with Blackmore's Rainbow and got even heavier with Sabbath.I had read somewhere that Jim Dandy Mangrum of Black Oak Arkansas was considered to take Ozzy's place before Dio stepped in.Jim Dandy by the way turned 59 this year.To me,that was the ultimate southern rock band and one of my favorites.
Ted Nugent in 1969 with the Amboy Dukes — “Journey To The Center Of Your Mind” — AWESOME GUITAR RIFFS!!!

NUGENT ROCKS!
How 'bout "Tooth,Fang, and Claw and "Call of the Wild".Two obscure, but fantastic Amboy Dukes albums which I have the fortune of owning on CD.
I was born in the wrong decade!
I love that Amboy Dukes late 60’s sound....
He produced a lot of the albums of all these other old people.
;-)
I think they were released shortly before he went solo in 1974.He pretty much called the shots by then and added his name to the band.He always did have that big ego.Scream Dream was always my favorite solo album of his.Very primal.
Hey Lainie! I was thinking about you the other day! I miss you and your fabulous Drudge Radio Thread..... I miss Drudge on Sunday nights SO MUCH! I hoep you and your family are allright.
Anyway, I cannot believe that Shania would stick it out for so long with Mutt Lange. I mean, he’s just a total hermit and anti-social and has always has been that way. How can someone live that way - enclosed in some Swiss villa with no interaction with outsiders?
Good for Shania - get the Hell out of there, Girl!
Shania can come stay with me! *grin*
Don’t think my wife would like it much though...LOL...

If you have Comcast HD, check out the Crossroads episode with Lindsey Buckingham and Little Big Town. Amazing.
I got to see Lindsey in a small venue last year, and LBT opened for Martina McBride last year, too. LBT has a lot in common with FM - mostly their harmonies and strong songs.
Hey, I just checked and it turns out that Meatloaf is still 60 until September 27th. I decided to search that out because I’m listening to ‘I Would Do Anything For Love’.
I grew up with Meatloaf in a way, in that his videos were always on MTV and VH1 when I was growing up; if I was aware, it would probably be 1990 and later. Though I was born in ‘85, I wouldn’t remember any music I listened to then. Funny how now my favorite band is Iron Maiden, when I even enjoyed Devo’s ‘Whip It’ video before I ever heard of Maiden.
Rime of the Ancient Mariner live, when I saw them in March this year, was unreal. Add to that Can I Play With Madness, The Clairvoyant, Moonchild, Aces High, Powerslave, Heaven Can Wait, Wasted Years...
Oh man, that’s a show.
I’ve been a Stevie Nicks fan since she first hit the scene and I’m still infactuated with her though I’m only 49. Saw her twice in the past decade for the “Enchanted” tour and the “Trouble in Shangra La” tour. She still rocks and is mezmorizing to watch on stage. Every May 26th (her birthday), I email her birthday wishes on her website “NicksFix”. And yes, I still have pictures of her on my wall in my home office/study. My wife has learned to live with it and actually has gained an appreciation for Stevie by going to the concerts with me. Stevie is down to earth nowadays with a good heart and is a big supporter of our troops. She and Mick laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns a few years back. During Gulf War I, Stevie wrote and dedicated a song to the troops called “Desert Angel”.
Long live the Lady of Enchantment and the Queen of Rock-n-Roll!

Check out post #16. I think you’ll enjoy the spontaneity of that video....
