"Houghton Mifflin Harcourt did not nor would we ever authorize or approve this use of the Curious George character, which we find offensive and utterly out of keeping with the values Curious George represents,"
Poor Curious George.

You know, I just don't remember anybody coming to Bush's defense - in the name of sensitivity, don'tcha know - when he was portrayed as Curious George, complete with pointed ears and a monkey face.
Maybe my memory is faulty, but I just don't remember the Professionally Offended being offended on Bush's behalf.

Bush's skin color makes him indefensible. This is obama we're talking about so it must be racist.

Note to the ADL: There are Curious George parody books, as in more than one, in print and on sale now caricaturing President Bush, who (in the unlikely event you hadn’t noticed) is not a black man. If either your organization or Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has gone on record as protesting those, I gather I missed it.
Get bent.

“which we find offensive and utterly out of keeping with the values Curious George represents,”
My young daughter watches Curious George, which is a show I can't stand.
That being said, I don't see what kind of values they are talking about. The Curious George I see on TV has committed all kinds of mischief, including, for example, causing a building under construction to collapse and he NEVER gets any more punishment than a ‘don't do that again’ talk. He is never required to have any responsibility for his actions, ever!!!!
Sounds like the Dems to me.

Or Maybe even this pic from a protest in March of 2003. This is far worse than a curious George t-shirt. I bet the guy who made this sign is a current Obama supporter.
