I am loving the Sinatra selections.
How are your trampled plants recovering?
Slowly, very slowly, I think I should give them a jolt of fertilizer for good measure. I have two large Bearded Iris blooming that managed to stay away from the trampling feet.
Did not lose everything. ;0)
I am so happy to hear that!
Welcome to The Dragonflies’ Lair, we are a poetry thread, but on Fridays we get silly and play music.Glad you are enjoying it.
Lately, we have more silliness than poetry, which is okay, too.
I enjoy silliness~~~and I just love music! And I certainly have nothing against good poetry. Only wish I could write it!
May get to listen to more music a bit later!
You all have a nice thread!
Thank You, we have been here a long time. Poets come and go as wandering pilgrims will.
We love them all. ;0)
The Misty song was sung by Sarah Vaughan, the mp3 is mislabeled.
I can’t remember when
it was all said and done
I thought it was a tune
some Loon had sung,
but then the birds
are carefree as an
afternoon on the reef
gentle breezes lifting,
my hair into the warm air
as an albatross soars overhead
riding the big wind
with so much ease
which teases my gauze clothing
the ruffles on my sleeves move
a little gust of warm air
lifts the hem of my garment
and I am bare to the albatross
and the sun, sand, and waves
kissing the beach, remembering
the song of the Loon
or when it was all said and done.

THE SONG OF THE LOON:
Glad you like Feather’s thread. It’s a cool place to hang out.
Quite a unique sound. Thanks.
Very nice!
Kinda helps explain its name.
