Thank you all so much for your prayers. Today I had my dressings changed, had a physical exam, a consultation with the surgeon and a blood test. They had about 4 or 5 vials to fill but my veins are so tiny and fragile they had to stick me 4 times. The first poke ran pretty good for a while, but eventually stopped. The next two were dry holes. Then they brought in the pro from Dover and he completed the job fairly quickly. Tomorrow, it’s change the dressings, a chest x-ray and an EKG. Hopefully, then I’m all prepped and ready for the surgeon 1st thing Thursday morning. If all goes well, I’ll be in and out within a few hours. They’re not expecting an overnight stay.

We’ll all be praying tomorrow night and Thursday morning, Jim.
It will be great news to know that the blockages are clear and blood is getting to those sore, swollen legs.
WE will be anxiously waiting for an update Thursday evening or Friday morning.

Well, Jim I been followin’ your journey closely here and I'm glad to see the Medicos seem to have gotten on task pretty good.
It's amazing so many with the title “phlebotomist” can't find a vein without using the pincushion method.
My veins tend to roll to one side or another, so they started using the butterfly needles. I would think they would use those with your small veins.
The roter rooter thingie seems like just the ticket to get your juices flowing freely.
Sounds good they have been so successful on the external areas, that's gotta be a relief for some of your discomfort.
I'll be continuing praying for you and hoping for a quick recovery.
Thanks for all the updates Jim and say howdy to Shelia for me.
And Amy, thanks for the pings.

First time I tripped over this thread and found out what was going on. Here’s to the Docs patching you up in no time flat and you getting sprung from the hospital in short order. A few hours is pretty fast. Hope your Docs are Pubs. Here’s to a speedy recovery and a sense of humor does wonders in these situations. Glad to see you’ve got one. Good luck!

Father God, how we Praise You that You are the Watchman over all of creation, for Your Word reveals that in Your hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind (Job 12:10). Look with mercy upon Your precious one ... prepare all things, O Lord, for successful surgery for Jim in the morning. May the medical team be filled with Your wisdom and guidance ... may every hint of infection or contamination be held back ... let nothing interfere with a flawless procedure. And may it be as expected ... he will be home tomorrow. May Your healing hand rest mightily upon Jim, that through him, You will be honored and glorified.
May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen ...
