Well, the liberal thesis seems to be that if you pay them nothing, the crimes they will commit to get money will cost the state far more than $64,000/year. They feel it’s cheaper to buy them off. I feel paying them nothing and finding out what happens is at least worth a try. ;)

There are families like this in the USA - I grew up in a neighborhood full of them, and it was really interesting. I don’t know where they all are now, but I know of one girl who made it out of there, and maybe two others who look like they want to, out of all the dozens of kids that passed through while I lived in that area.

Carl thinks the Government have simply made it too easy for people not to work. He says: "I don't blame myself for Ann not working. Even if she tried to get a job, she'd be looking at jobs paying the minimum wage, which is not as much as she claims in benefits. It's the Government's fault: benefits are too generous.

This guy gets it but the psychologist a few paragraphs above doesn't have it figured out....no wonder socialism rots from the inside out.
