"What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" -- it's a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs."

I think that putting a post function by each subject was a really good idea!

I think that putting a post function by each subject was a really good idea! Yeah. That part looks pretty slick.
I just wish there was a way to view the latest posts by those categories. (at least I haven't found a way to do that). It was nice before to be able to limit viewing to "news" without seeing the comments to chat/other threads. When things like the Oscars or Live Election threads come up, it's cumbersome to sift through all that.

In the top left, wasn’t there an option to “browse”? Now it says comments.

In addition to the "topics" and "post" columns, there needs to be a column for "comments" so the comments for just one particular forum can be viewed, like back in the old days.BUMP to that! I second that motion.

It’s also called........
RSS (Rich Site Summary), a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

But it never defaults to that. You can use the “button”, but it will only do that the 1 time you’re there. Apparently, no more defaulting - the default seems just plain IS “latest articles”, and you can’t change it.

I, for one, probably do take my FReepin’ a little too seriously. FR is my number one site to visit.

I noticed the RSS feed......forgive my ignorance....what does RSS stand for?? Feel free to include a DUH if you reply.....lol. thanks! Really Simple Syndication. I use it in my Firefox to check up on the latest stories without having to visit FR.
Try this in Firefox (if you have it). Click on the RSS link and it will show stories. There will be a button that says "Subscribe Now" and it will add a drop down in your bookmarks bar. If its not there, click View > Toolbars > Bookmarks toolbar and then you will see it.
Then all you have to do is click the drop down and all the latest stories show.

I can’t either and I thought something was wrong with me (blind or dumb!) that I couldn’t find “post” Finally I found it, on the home page, but then it posted in News.

is there any way to view messages from just one forum? If I want to see comments just posted to news/activism rather than to the entire board, how would I do that? That's my big question, too. I always used that before, and the lack of it is driving me nuts!

No answers are offered even when the mods are pinged, so this must be the way it is going to stay. It is much less convenient than it used to be since I don’t like looking at comments from all the forums at once.

The news forum comments drown all the other forum comments out when all the comments are lumped together. I don’t see how taking the comments from individual forums away can possibly be any sort of improvement, unless it is desired to cut down on traffic on those other forums, which of course doesn’t make much sense so it could be I just don’t know how to get the comments from just one forum yet.
