Ulcers are an infection. Treatment is antibiotics and an acid suppressor. Two points, for successful treatment, you have to suppress the acid, which the little bugs love, but which de-activate the antibiotics. Second, the whole family needs to take the treatment at the same time, because the little bugs can be transmitted by kissing. This applies, even if a person doesn’t have any symptoms, they could be a carrier.
You have more faith in the average joe doctor than I do. Many good posts from knowledgeable freepers here.
