Mitt is a NorthEastern Republican and all they can do is eat cheese, drink wine, take photo-ops and lose big Elections and now with Duncan Hunter out, I am out too.
Let whoever wins this run the nation into the ground.

Funny that the take over of the GOP by Liberals can make you feel great.
The Free Republic has been over run by Kennedy wing of the Republican party. And they feel great!

And to all you Fred Thompson supporters. Now is the time to face reality and support the remaining viable conservative candidate---Mitt Romney. In the past, I've held my nose, and voted for GOP candidates who were "lukewarm" on the Second Amendment.
I will never vote for anyone who openly, and repeatedly, advocates banning firearms, as Mitt Romney has.
I am sticking with Fred Thompson, to the end.

Because the one viable conservative candidate with the best chance of winning in the General Election is in a better position than ever.PJ-C, what about Romney is conservative? Do you know his record in Mass as governor, and of his wishy-washy stances since the primaries have started?
As sure as I sit here badly typing this stuff with all of my typos and creative spelling, if the repub party elects one of these rino/moderates in the general election the dems will take the WH.
viable conservative moderate, wishy-washy, rino canidate is about right...

The fact that McCain and Huckabee, the two most liberal candidates, won in SC is scary. MSM must be having fits over Nevada since now they are spinning a great comeback for crazy McCain. I wondered how somebody like McCain - who is lacking administrative experience, moral values, ability to fight WOT, love of this country, etc. - could have won SC, then I recalled SC also gave us Graham.

MR is half the conservative FT or DH are. Half is better than a quarter or none, but it’s still half.

Well, to me it’s all about beating the clinton/obama (or is it obama/clinton) ticket. Whatever republican runs gets my vote.

I reluctantly agree. Fred’s best course now is to endorse Mitt, and get some pledges out of him for it. If Fred had endorsed Mitt before SC, Mitt would have won easily. If Fred endorses Mitt in FL, he’ll win there.
Otherwise, we may wind up with McInsane or the Huckster.

I have come to that conclusion but can we please STOP calling the man a conservative? He’s a moderate. At best.

With Hunter out, my short list is down to Fred and Mitt. If they both stay in until the Ohio primary, I'll vote Fred. If only Mitt stays in, then he has my vote. I have no idea what I'll do if they are both out.
That ticks me off. Let all the candidates campaign and debate and have all the primaries on the same day. This is like being told you can't do your Christmas shopping until December 24th. Will they still have what you want?
