Ookay...that’s...just...overkill. A bit.
They remind me of the old Civic hatchbacks, which I've always liked. Except that they're taller and have seats that fold flat and other little niceties.
The Honda dealership is actually where I'm taking the van tomorrow for the appraisal. If they give me more or less the same quote as the Hyundai dealership instead of telling me to take a hike...I'm going to be sorely tempted. It'd mean a wait while they locate / order a car, though, if I do go that way. And I'd give up some features vs the Hyundai. But it's a Honda, and that makes me feel better about it. Plus it's just a fun little thing, ya know?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, 2J!!!
I loved my Civic hatchback. Drove it off the lot with 13 miles on it in 1984. It was a great little car and very dependable.
Good Morning ALL - sleet, snow, rain..thinking the local St. Patrick’s Day parade won’t turn out exactly as planned. Miss Gypsy is not amused by the precipitation. She’ll get her walk when in stops.
Corin - ahhh, beach pictures...glad you found your camera. Been through those tunnels and the Chesapeake Bay bridge as well. Though it was years ago, we stopped at one of the rest areas and watched the submarines heading out, must have been six or so. A local fellow remarked that was the first time he’s ever seen that many subs heading out at one time.
Morning 2J - good show on the candy sale. The sewer hook up is a very worthwhile investment, you can recoup that money very easily should you plan to sell. City sewer beats the heck out of the septic tank for resale value.
Mornin’.
It’s in the upper 40s here, but clear. I’m heading out for a days worth of yard work once it’s respectable to turn on power equipment.
Well, Happy Birthday 2-Jedismom. OB & LSA
Heh, well, guess you’re a better neighbor that I am. If the sun’s up, it’s time.
“We’re burning daylight”..
Heh...I shouldn’t worry about it. But I also need to make sure Luke is up and knows where I am.
Jr. is workin’ and Mrs. is off to choir practice for tomorrow.
Plus, I’m lazy...
Well, I’ve put this off for far too long...I’m going now...
Sounds like a plan - and a good one. We’re looking forward to weather suitable for some dirt therapy.
Saw the newz girl all bundled up reporting on the ‘crowd that is slowly gathering’ for the Snake Saturday Parade (Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day) in NKC. heh.
Hm...
I’m gonna at least look at them.
A Yaris sedan for getting around town, and an AWD Matrix for haulin’ carp...this is my dream.
Let the others have Jags and Benzes and Escalades.
OK, maybe a Highlander. Maybe.
Happy birthday! We hope you have a great day with your family. Mrsnad
The Highlander is *very* purty, in my opinion. Simple, but purty. One of the guys at work just bought one and loves it.
The Yaris strikes me as the equivalent of the Corollas of ten or fifteen years ago. The Corolla has gotten enough bigger and comes with so many standard options that it’s just not a budget car anymore.
As a plus, even the budget cars are coming with niceties like cruise control and air conditioning and CD players. So there’s that.
