I was 19, and it was 151 Rum. I was sick in bed for three days, and was so dehydrated I couldn’t throw up. I haven’t been able to smell rum in anything (glasses, fruitcakes, etc.) since then, and I’m 53. Just thinking about rum makes my stomach turn over (which it is doing right now)!

I’ve discovered that adding a splash of eggnog is pretty tasty too.
I was 22, and it was screwdrivers with authentic Russian vodka in Naples, Italy. Didn’t get sick, but I don’t know how I got back to my ship (USS Nimitz) anchored out in the harbor.

Same here but with Southern Comfort. If I even try to imagine the smell of that stuff I feel like hurling.
That was also by far the worst hangover of my life. Lasted for a few days and i must of lost 10 pounds.
Sounds like my run in with Southern Comfort after the last day of school 11th grade. We were mixing sugar and lemon juice with it from some recipe on the bottle. Just remembering seeing that undissolved sugar running down the inside of the glass as i was drinking it is making me queesy. I was in bed for about 3 days also. So dehydrated i had to constantly keep drinking water only to hurl it up instantly. A nasty cycle that lasted for days. I’m lucky I didn’t puke up a lung from all the dry heaves.
Horrible experience. Probably the reason why i’ve always just stuck with beer mostly.
My grandfather used to work with a guy like that. He drank a fifth & a case of beer every night. “
