Mike and Mike had their BCS expert on today. He said there is no way Ohio State can jump WVU if the Mounties win out. Actually the Big East Bowl wins in 2006 were 5 for 5 but your point is well taken.
good points and I agree.
My Mistake. It was 5 for 5.
I did not realize there was such a thing as a BCS expert.
Can anyone explain how the BCS arrives at their ranking?
I do want to see Missouri play West Virginia in the BCS Championship Game—at least it won’t be boring. If we end up getting West Virginia vs Ohio State, that could be bad news because Ohio State has never played well against a team with anything resembling a really good offense (WVU is probably the best practicioners of the “spread” offense in the USA, and that could cause no end of trouble for tOSU’s defense).
I think the Mike and Mike BCS “expert” is just a guy that’s looked into the system. The ranking seems to be a blend of two polls (Coaches and Harris) and a computer ranking that takes into account things like strength of schedule. According to the “expert” because of the computer ranking, Ohio state can only move up if a team ahead of them loses.
ditto.
Mizzou does a pretty good job with the spread.
The only team to score 30 or more points in every game this year.
CT-Freeper, UConn is going to the Meneke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, NC. :)
