Thanks.
I have to say the combination of JJ and Chad is almost perfect. They never cease to amaze me, Chad can fix a car in the middle of the race and rarely makes a mistake call on tires or adjustments etc.
Good Night everyone, have a fantastic week.
But because there is a Chase, the teams change their tactics throughout the year, so who knows who would be leading without the Chase.
Maybe, but 409 points (what I think would be Flash’s lead under the old format) is a lot to chalk up to tactics.
BUMP
Yeah, the team has ran well enough to win a championship and avoided trouble unlike all the other teams, plus some timely cautions and weather saved them a few races.
Both groups appreciate FREEDOM, unlike Dems who want the government to control almost everything.
Spoke with South Texas a bit ago, He said to say Hey to everyone.
Laurenmarlowe called at the begin’n of the race. They should both have some good pics!
I’m glad I didn’t go. Next year will be a different story.
Jr’s going hunting this week I hope he pretends to shoot the 8 car with each aim.
I wuz watchin’, but I didn’t see ya wavin’!
Earnhardt ready to move on
FORT WORTH Dale Earnhardt Jr. wasn’t sentimental about Sunday’s Dickies 500 being his last start for Dale Earnhardt Inc. at Texas Motor Speedway.
Under the guidance of his late father, Earnhardt had claimed his first career Busch Series victory and Nextel Cup series victory at the track. On Sunday, he led 12 laps early and wasn’t a factor late while finishing 14th.
Race winner Jimmie Johnson will be one of Earnhardt’s new teammates next season at Hendrick Motorsports. Johnson hadn’t even tried on his cowboy hat in Victory Lane by the time Earnhardt was probably halfway to Oklahoma. He was traveling by helicopter to a friend’s hunting lease, where he planned to spend his off day today.
“If it’s brown, it’s going down,” Earnhardt said as he trotted off to his ride.
Ten Points to Ponder after Texas
1. Your Year How many times did Rusty Wallace say at the end of todays race, When its your year, its your year in reference to Jimmie Johnson? The irony is that up until a few weeks ago, that phrase had been used almost exclusively to describe Jeff Gordons 2007 season. The No. 48 team has certainly been strong in the Chase, winning three straight races now and taking a 30-point lead heading to Phoenix. But lets not forget that under the old points system (irrelevant, but still) Gordon would have a 400+ point lead over Johnson with two races to go. Maybe its a little premature to put the crown on Johnson just yet
2. Aardvark Alarm If you missed Saturdays NASCAR Performance on SpeedTV with Bootie Barker, Chad Knaus, and Larry McReynolds, you missed Booties hilarious recap of the Atlanta race. It was Booties driver Johnny Sauter who blew a tire on lap 318 in Atlanta, setting up the two-tire call by Knaus that put Jimmie Johnson in position for the win. Said the crew chief, In my headset, (Chad) has a special channel he goes on, and he whispers the code name aardvark. When I hear aardvark, I know to tell Johnny to run it into the wall, because that will give Chad time to take two or four and manipulate the situation like he did to win the race I did it for (Chad). Aardvarks the code. The millions of dollars and all the work weve spent at Haas Motorsports its all for The Chad.
3. Tiresome Terms Lets start a list of words and phrases we would like to see eliminated from the lexicon of TV broadcasters for the rest of the season. Here are a few to get you started: 1) The Cinderella Season of Clint Bowyer. 2) 40 laps into a 334-lap race: If the race ended now, Jimmie Johnson would be your new points leader. 3) Rusty Wallace: David Gillian. And yours ?
Have you heard the news? Carl Edwards clinched his first-ever Busch title on Saturday. 4. Carl Control Shame on ESPN for turning Saturdays Busch race into the Carl Edwards Show. Its hard to believe that they actually spent the entire race discussing the pressure on Carl to try to win his first Busch title. Pressure? For Petes sake, the guy had a 531-point lead heading into Texas and just had to start the last three races to take the title. They even interviewed Carls mom, who said she hoped her son could win the title at Texas so he could get a good nights sleep. Now, thats drama!
5. Busch Banter By the way, did anyone notice that Kevin Harvicks win was his sixth Busch win of the season (Edwards has four), and moved Harvick to second on the all-time Busch Series win list? And unfortunately, ESPN once again failed to broadcast the entire pre-race show due to a college football game.

Here's the pics. Left a few blurred ones in so I wouldn't have to delete everything. LOL Had major focus problems after dark, a combination of a long day and too smart of a camera. Click full screen for the best view.
I'm sure I missed some, so please ping the whole crew.
