Health, Well enough to feel better and likely to get over this, no matter what those odds makers in Reno are pedaling!
May your dive be pleasant, the rest of the evening perfect, and you have dreams fit for a sailor with some serious experience! (insert leer here)
Night all, I’m off to work on another chapter.

Good morning everyone.
Old Man Platypus
by Banjo Patterson
Far from the trouble and toil of town,
Where the reed beds sweep and shiver,
Look at a fragment of velvet brown --
Old Man Platypus drifting down,
Drifting along the river.
And he plays and dives in the river bends
In a style that is most elusive;
With few relations and fewer friends,
For Old Man Platypus descends
From a family most exclusive.
He shares his burrow beneath the bank
With his wife and his son and daughter
At the roots of the reeds and the grasses rank;
And the bubbles show where our hero sank
To its entrance under water.
Safe in their burrow below the falls
They live in a world of wonder,
Where no one visits and no one calls,
They sleep like little brown billiard balls
With their beaks tucked neatly under.
And he talks in a deep unfriendly growl
As he goes on his journey lonely;
For he's no relation to fish nor fowl,
Nor to bird nor beast, nor to horned owl;
In fact, he's the one and only!

*Good Morning Everyone!*
Cute poem, Soaring Feather. It's a cool but sunny day here in Central
Texas.

Ah, lovely graphic, thanks Meg.
Cool here as well, but gorgeous day, bright sunshine and clear blue skies. Typical Fall day in the North East.

Goods morning Soaring Feather. Quite a poem in honor of the Duckbill Platypus. Hope all is well.

Yup, all is well, thanks. Lovely weather today, as I mentioned to Meg, typical gorgeous Fall day in The Empire State.
Glad you liked the poem! The platypus is a strange mammal for sure.

The sun is trying to peek through the mass of haze and the temps are around 68 degrees. You see people in parkas and all bundled up. One would think that it was winter time by the way they dress.

Are you away from those horrible fires? The pictures on tv are devastating. To think someone deliberately set those fires, GRRRRRRR!
To: Soaring Feather
I am about 450 miles north of the fires. We have arsonists in this area as well. They usually set 2 - 3 fires a year. It does get interesting when they do set them because of the dry conditions that prevail here.

Oh good distance away from the fires. I imagine the smoke will work its way to your area??
Gotta wonder what the hell is wrong with people to do that. Sickos!
