OH sorry.. I meant “US”.
L.O.S.T. must pass ratification. Many other treaties behind it are depending on it's ratification.
I think if they try to enforce some of the worst ones--such as UN taking actual control over things as opposed to simply putting up signs on OUR national parks--they'll be in for a terrible surprise.
We'll see what happens if lost is ratified. That will give the un all the money they will need without oversight from member nations who until now, paid their bills. They'll be self sufficient so to speak.
They were shocked at the reaction to Shamnesty and that was restricted to words written, spoken and electronic--but still just words. I sure hope they don't force us beyond words.
I hope they don't force us as well, it won't be pretty.
To make a long story short , when enough laws are passed to where a citizen finds that it is impossible to obey them and be a lawful citizen ; why not just cut to the chase ?
I never register any home defense device nor any device to defend myself because my right to life comes from God via the Founding Fathers . No free citizen is required to have permission from any Government to do so .
Boys clubs do not limit membership. This group takes only trained personnel. It is also structured such that at present it is completely legal. Infiltration is not an issue.
Aren't weapons registered when the application to purchase that weapon is filled out. Then all a national gun registry would do is turn in that state information to a national database, like the FBI, I suppose or make state information available to other state law enforcement. Correct?
I forgot to add this. The only way there is no paper trail is through private person to person transactions.
It is also structured such that at present it is completely legal. Infiltration is not an issue.
Legal is fine for the times that we live in now . I’m thinking further into the future . Infiltration is always an issue when a group of people start out as honorable and with moral intent .
My experience is the way the FedGov views you and your’s , me and mine . While I tip my hat to you for at least trying to do something about the future , I’ll stay out of the loop and perhaps look things over in about 5 years .
The only way there is no paper trail is through private person to person transactions.
Yes Sir .
Ma'am, common mistake. ;)
If theyre safe enough to walk the streets, then by all means allow them to have arms, so long as the rest of us can counter balance them. not like they dont have em anyway.
and whos to say what a 'felony' is anymore? or could be tomarrow.
The scariest part of this thread is the fact that our political hacks in DC cant be trusted to not make a deal with the un, binding or not, that they would put lawyer spin on to coerce a large amount of dis-armament.
when that or some other silly sh!t like kali style incrementalism happens- most folks will probably feel like their 'all alone' and wont be ready to martyr themselves, knowing damn good and well that all theyre gonna get is a bunch of electronic support/condemnation.
We'd be better off if the libs would go ahead and declare war on us, imo thats gonna be the only thing to rally folks together. Is it time yet? we keep asking because we dont dare declare the war ourselves without being persecuted/prosecuted and really left alone...
I just pray that if the boot kicks on my door that I can win at least one battle...
my .02...
Some of us are working on it. But the pre-existing right to keep and bear arms, protected by the Second Amendment is a right of the people of Kalifornia as well. It's just not recognized by the government. But surely YOU recognize it.
Also, the Constitution of Kalifornia does contain the following:
"All people are by nature free and independent and have inalienable rights. Among these are enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and pursuing and obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy."
To suggest that one has a right to "defend life and liberty" and "protect property" and "obtain safety" without the use of guns is equivalent to suggesting that one can "keep and bear arms" without being able to keep and bear handguns.
That virtually every law-enforcement officer in the state carries a handgun is all the proof any court should need that the defense of life requires that one have access to handguns.
The reason for my posting the article. To bring it to others attention. Our RKBA is our last line of defense against future presidents (with the backing of those politicians)who have dreams of tyranny.

Very true.
I just pray that if the boot kicks on my door that I can win at least one battle..
I agree.
> LOST is particularly upsetting.<
It is only upsetting to the dozen or so FReepers who have taken the time to learn what it is all about. Off the top of my head, I’d make a guess that 50% or more of the FReepers believe that the US being a part of the UN is a good thing.
They have no idea that we will be living under the UN Constitution one of these days.
To paraphrase General Patton, "Nobody ever saved something by dieing to save it. They saved it by making some other person die while trying to destroy it."
We're still in that awkward time.
Lord have mercy.
They have no idea that we will be living under the UN Constitution one of these days.
I hope I'm dead before that day dawns. Or die fighting against it.
