Gee, maybe we'll no longer be bombarded with ads about the Saints, and how they are helping New Orleans to recover.
Pretty soon, the fans will once again be wearing bags over their heads and calling the the "Ain'ts."

I shudder to think how saturated we would have been last February with Katrina stories if the Saints had made it to the Super Bowl.

This just in....Jason David got burned again. He's getting burned so bad, they're starting to award 14 points each time as extra punishment.

the “R” on the back of that jersey should actually be an “H”
To: thefactor
the R on the back of that jersey should actually be an HIs school already dismissed for the day, or are you at recess?

sorry that my joke hit a nerve. how did you know i’m in graduate school? i’m a giants fan so you can understand the childish humor.

I'm sorry, you were saying?I'm saying..."What the hell do I know about football?"
To: thefactor
A Giants’fan? I see. Well, at least you didn’t try to defend an indefensible post. I’ll give you much credit for that...btw the Cowboys nation is in disarray, reeling from injuries to Ellis, Newman, and now Terry Glenn. So I’d say the Giants’ chances are close to even at pulling this one out on the road come Sunday. But let’s hope not.

are you nuts? i'm a HUGE giants fan but i'm also a realist. the only thing we have going for us is the fact that it's early and coughlin may not have poisoned the locker room yet. 6-10 would be a good season for us, imho.
but i have been very wrong before and when it comes to the giants anything could happen. if eli wakes up and if the linebackers and secondary show up, who knows? dallas is picked to win the division by pretty much everyone. excpet the delusional people in philly. god i hate philly.
To: thefactor
I may be overreacting to the injury situation, but I assure you people out at Valley ranch are equally concerned. This is not the same team we were counting on going into the season. The injury casualties are to key members of the team. Nearly everyone undervalued T Glenn's contribution, but knowledgeable people realized how he changed the way teams approached the Cowboys defensively . They just don't have anyone to replace him. Newman was the one guy who would allow them to blitz blitz, and blitz some more, with full confidence in his ability to cover anybody, alone. Even if he plays, he’ll be maybe 60%. Ellis was needed to pressure the QB opposite Ware— essential in the 3-4 that Wade Phillips employs. It's hoped Spencer can step in and do it, but he's a rookie. And he's weak in run defense (not good when you have 260lb rb to corral).
So call me nuts, but I'm leery of how this team copes with these losses. It's not really that I think that highly of the Giants or Eli, however this is a divisional game and it will be tough. Now before all these injuries I was predicting Super Bowl for the Cowboys, but I'm slamming the brakes on it based on available info.

The Schnelker years would like a word with you... Right along with Les Steckel. But I've never seen such widespread pessimism about their chances.
To: mainepatsfan
Well see. If they can repeat that performance against the elite AFC teams then certainly. The Lombardi trophy will be won in the AFC title game again.Hopefully that game will be played out during a raging snowstorm....

There is Manning, then Brady/Brees/Palmer...then the rest of the quarterbacks in the NFL.
When all is said and done.....
Brady is the football equavilent of Bill Russell.
Manning is Wilt Chamberlin.
Both great both HOF players, I know who I want on MY team though.....

My sister lives down in NC but since the Pats are on national TV so often she hasn’t missed too many of their games.
