An interesting article I came across. I do not know if I was allowed to post the entire article so I excerpted it.

The question remains, what ever happened to the western? My take - the western is a basic good versus evil storyline and Hollywood got out of that business years ago when it started to embrace multiculturalism.

I realize it Clint is billed as The Good, but really there are no good guys in that movie. Or really any of Leone's westerns.
