About time too... How am I going to get declared Emperor if society doesn’t melt down first?

Who melted the economy? My thermometer says it’s *only* 98 here ...

LOL! It’s “only” 91, here! And 6%!

My system doesn’t tell me humidity. (At least not obviously.) There’s a gummy haze in the sky, but nothing that looks like rain clouds.

Time to take Pat to gymnastics. I had a nap instead of running; will have to hit the treadmill after supper!

They should do fine. It's the wet northwest where roses have a problem.

Actually our roses are doing pretty well here in the Great Pacific Northwet. Or they would be if the deer didn't keep eating them.

64 and intermittent mist here. Just what summer ought to be like!

Aiiiieeeee. Came in to work expecting a slow, casual day working on the article. Instead I've suddenly been given marching orders -- I'm returning to India in February to speak at a conference there, like I did last year. The folks here are saying Mumbai, but the conference website says Bangalore.

I hope it's the latter; I am still kicking myself for not lugging the camera along on the day trip to Bangalore. But this time I'll have a smaller camera.

You know...I haven’t had time to read the WHOLE thread...has the tinfoil idea of Chinese hackers hacking into FR accounts been passed around the table yet. I do recall charming_harmonica being sane and having a strong handle on the english language at one time. And if its not the chinese...the TriLats? Stonecutters Union?, the Portage Indiana Rotary Club? Unnngh...its endless.

I thought this would be an appropriate time and place to bring it up as a possibility. ;)

Well, it's sort of both. Last trip was horrendous -- Seattle to Chicago to New Delhi and back the same way. And even cutting Chicago out of the loop it's still a long flight.

On the other hand -- real Indian food!

I think the notion of someone getting into the account was raised at some point, but it was more on the order of being on a computer c_h had vacated.
