The girl with the 20 lb weight (loss) that is like 30 lb for a guy.
But more if he lifts.
.
Honestly, you take notes like Billy Clinton in Sunday School. No wonder you have to repeat.
I’ve seen it too, but periodically check up on the UT’s ping list. Some folks just don’t come anymore, but a lot of them are gone, whether they’ve not posted for years or they fell to the zot themselves. The list is rather shorter than it used to be.
Morning, all. Der Prinz didn’t pass the Master of the Universe exam, again.
And we’re running out of diapers.
Drat!
Double drat, and also shoot.
Cusswords and shuckydarn!
Rats and other annoying rodents. God bless Texas!
The baby lizard made it through the night, but I don’t think it’s eaten anything yet. NCSteve suggested that Bill should masticate a cricket for it ...
The girls’ friends from up the street just turned up! We’ll have to get back to schoolwork later.
They start school on Monday :-).
Oi...
I hope the little critter makes it.
Everyone should be home-schooled!
But, of course, a lot of mothers work outside the home. Although I understand the trend is changing. More mothers want to stay home with their kids. I think that’s a good thing for everyone.
My girls’ friends were homeschooled until last year, when their mom had to get a job because her ex-husband wasn’t paying the child support. She’s doing several kinds of part-time work, so she’s still able to be home when they’re not at school.
The oldest daughter (14?) has had some real adjustment problems with high school. She used to hang around with Anoreth a lot, but now she has to be with the “appropriate” clique to keep from being ostracized at school.
The girl’s mother needs to go to Welfare about the child support. No matter where the guy is in the country, they will take child support from his paychecks, so the mom doesn’t have to worry. It’s a federal law, and it’s the kids’ rights to be taken care of.
They can also take the current payment, plus 10% of the arrears he owes out of each paycheck. She needs his birthdate and SSA and where he works, and the rest will be done by welfare.
It’s always tough on kids when parents break up. I always feel bad for those kids.
Ah, the joys of government school. /sarcasm
It is a difficult situation. The father is not a bad man - he lives in the area, and has the girls every weekend and some vacations. Unfortunately, you can’t get blood out of a stone, and he’s had major financial problems since the divorce.
They were in business together, working for a swimming-pool contractor, and *she* made sure they made a living at it. Without her, he’s gone into bankruptcy in less than two years!
14-year-old girls are a disaster in any school. It’s a terrible age - I’m so happy to be finished with it (at least once!).
14 year old boys are a disaster too. I should know, I was one once, although I was not in public school then.
Oh, that’s encouraging! Bill will be 14 next year.
Bill will have an easier time than me, I’m sure.
One of the issues for my older children is that things are so easy for them!
1,900!
