This one pretty much puts the NFL in the same toilet as the WWF and Mike Tyson. I wouldn’t walk across the street to watch a superbowl at this point.

Vick had nothing to do with it—some dude named Ron Mexico actually was running the thing.

What in God’s name is an NFL quarterback doing being involved with “dog fighting”?? LOL
He was only in Southwest VA for a short time while attending college in Blacksburg. I can’t believe the culture here rubbed off on him in such a way!

I’ll give you 2:1 odds right now, and will cover up to $100 on my end, that Vick goes down for something related to this indictment.

"Ill give you 2:1 odds right now, and will cover up to $100 on my end, that Vick goes down for something related to this indictment." I agree. Too many people are involved in those dog fights for someone not to talk. It doesn't look good for Vick, unless there is some behind-the-scenes payment or the prosecutor Nifongs the case.

His goose is cooked.

I figure he’ll plea bargain, pay a sweet fine, and get probation.
Why dog fighting? It’s the “gansta” culture.

Hah, hah
no bets here
just making a (suggestively) legal statement. I, like you, think he is good for this, however
what are your thoughts on his punishment? I would think his final disposition would either be some small (to him) punitive damage fine and/or 15 hours of community service as recompense for his dastardly deed.

These prosecutors have watched that precedent, and have been working this case for a while. This wasn’t a hurry-up-and-get-something-before-the-election deal. And they know Vick will have really good representation. No, they’ve taken their time, and will most likely prevail.

My impression is that it will be substantially more than that.

Since we’re taking bets, I’ll spot the jail time—I give the fastest quarter-back in the NFL three days to keep his BigHouse chastity—the holding pen is a little smaller than a football field.

These Super Jocks, from the time they reach high school, are told they can do no wrong by almost everyone around them. It’s a wonder more of them don’t fall into a hole like this.
