You’re the one who generalized about laptops. If you had limited your complaint to your laptop, rather than “laptop displays” I would have answered differently.

Just out of curiousity, what make/model/etc?

Best thing to do in that case is search the CUPS database or the messageboard for ........ what distro you tried using?(previously or current)
