Paris Hilton has become the modern American “Marie Antoinette”. The whole display, with the nauseating media coverage has been totally disgusting and really says more about our culture than it does about Ms. Hilton.

I'm not a Paris fan and think she is a skank but I don't know what the fuss is all about. Such early releases, especially in regards to what she is charged with, are not as uncommon as some believe even for the none Parises of the world. Most who have similar none violent crimes chargers against them as Paris only spent a few hours or days, a week at the most, in jail heck even hard core gang bangers. Michelle Rodriguez only spend a few hours behind bars and she was charged for assault; Paris she's doing time for plane and simple stupidity. If she and her mother did not act like morons in front of the judge and showed some remorse she wouldn't be in this mess right now. She's an idiot.

Paris was educated in a posh school for the v e ry rich in New York, dropped out during high school, was trained as a model and took acting lessons.
It would seem to me, that Paris is a product of her parents style of parenting. Paris grew up into a self absorbed, self centered, narcissistic individual who thinks the world revolves around her. She is about to find out, or is finding out, that she is no better than any one else and break the rules...you will be forced to face up to your responsibility.

It’s pretty obvious that the judge and prosecutor are playing right into the “jealously factor” and the “little rich white girl syndrome” — and giving the “public” their vicarious “pound of flesh” — because of the public’s self-perceived and unfortunate position of not being as rich or as white as she is.

For those who are as white or as rich as she is, and clamor for her incarceration (in the place of other hardened criminals who deserve it) — that’s playing into their own false image of themselves of being law-abiding and “righteous” so as to condemn anyone who falls into that situation (at least until their daughter or son “gets it” one of these days, and then they’ll be screaming and crying, too).

This is nothing short of a public display of how there is no “real justice” — but only perceived justice, aka the kind that we see at American Idol, where we can “dial in” the justice we want, by means of pushing either #1, #2, or #3 on the judge’s chamber’s phone.

This is nothing short of the public pretending to be interested in justice, while really only interested in getting at people who have either money or position better than themselves. It’s “celebrity justice” all right — but “against” celebrities rather than “for justice”.

If people were really interested in justice, there are a lot of hardened criminals and also illegal aliens to dispense so much justice towards, that we wouldn’t have time for any other kind of mastabatory public justice as is displayed here.
