Well our health care dollars have to go somewhere. NIH funds have to be spent curing something so why not ride with the rump rangers?
Never mind my wife of 35 years has an inoperable brain tumor and we see fewer federal dollars investigating that.
What a peculiar merry go round this is. I would laugh, but I just sometimes cannot thru the tears.

Social Security Disability Insurance, Supplemental Security Income, Medicare, Medicaid, and (eventually) Hillary-care. This conduct is being directly subsidized by tax dollars. Hedonism, when not supported externally at the monetary expense of others, is transient. It is self-correcting. It is self-limiting. The nanny-state is precisely why this is flourishing. Be careful not to do more harm with an open hand than you would do with a closed fist.
Get the government out of healthcare and bring back personal responsibility - stop shielding people from the consequences of their conduct and watch as that conduct changes. Take a tiny fraction of the savings to invest in snow plows to clean out the gutters for those that are slow to learn.

Well that's because there is none.

And if you bother to read the actual abstract you will see that the author of the article left out a very critical piece of information.
The article specifically fails to mention that the 244 patients were "Patients with abnormal anal cytology".
Thats like expressing surprise that women with lumps in their breasts have a higher rate of breast cancer.
Was the author unable to grasp the importance of that fact or was he being deliberately misleading?
