It lets you know how big a name Henry Fonda was that his his treasonous daughter wasn’t prosecuted for her crimes.
And it established a bar for behavior that is far beyond our Constitution.
Someone owes Mildred Gillars/Axis Sally a pardon if Jane did not commit treason. Ms. Gillars was convicted for a radio drama (in spite of other incidents where she dressed as a Red Cross nurse, interviewed American POWs in Germany, and twisted those interviews for propaganda purposes).
