Irony is not the word that sprang to mind. ; )
I’m working on my own list — “Twenty Things You Can Do To Help Al Gore Save The Planet”. Here’s a few of them that you can do at home:
- Stop watching movies. Money goes to rich Hollywood actors who buy there own 707s that pollute the atmosphere.
- Stop donating money to feed the world’s poor. That only encourages them to have more kids, who consume the world’s resources.
- Stop eating plants. Plants consume CO2 and emit O2. When you eat a plant that’s means more CO2 and that adds to global warming.
- Eat animals. That will cut down or eliminate the need to eat plants and will reduce the animal population. Reducing the animal population is good because they emit CO2.
- Eat other people. People emit CO2 just by breathing. Every person eaten is one less that will exhale CO2 and buy an SUV.
- Do not eat beans. They cause methane gas emissions.
- Heating water takes energy, so it’s wasteful and harmful to shower or bathe alone. Be responsible and bathe with others.
Was the word “hypocrisy?”
I agree.
We’ve been around for about the same amount of time. I have seen FR decline in it’s civility and it is disturbing. I have to leave for a while, but I always come back. It’s that FR pull.
Then I fail to see the point of your comment, but then it is late.
I do believe in Majority rule and I am willing to live under whatever government the majority picks for our nation. I am willing to face the consequences of my principled stand.
When I die I am not going to have to give an accounting of my life to you or to the American electorate. You and I and everyone on this planet will one day stand alone before God and will be called to give an accounting of our lives.
One stain I will not have is that I voted for someone who believes in and supports the culture of death and the slaughter of the innocent unborn as some kind of inalienable right.
I have enough sins to answer for, but that won't be one of them.
Pretty good list of well-thought out things to help save the planet.
That’s a good one but, no, it wasn’t hypocrisy. ; )
I'm simply saying that if you don't get everything you hoped for in one fell-swoop, don't come crying to me about it.
- Build massive windmills around Capitol Hill. The hot air emanating from that place will provide enough energy to finally give the USA energy independence.
And who sees you're a pefect example of the hit-n-run post.
She was agreeing with a poster who pointed out that if the Democrats control the Legislative and Executive branches ...with Hillary at the helm, we're all screwed.
It IS and should be OUR #1 priority...otherwise, I'm convinced FreeRepublic will be a distant memory.
With Hillary, Nancy and Harry in charge the USA will finally have its very own Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin.
I think there are a lot of left-wing infiltrators on this website who play the role of ultra-conservatives. They’re trying to push conservatives away from the GOP. It looks to me like at least 5-10% of the posts on this site are by infiltrators. Real conservatives and Republicans need to stop taking these posts so seriously and just don’t repeat that stuff anywhere else. Then the infiltration stops right here.
Do you mean personal attacks and vitriole like these that I've copied from some of Howlin's posts on this thread which is about how we should be trying to be "civil" with each other?
"Ive seen them; they are idiots and should be ignored."
"Dear Clueless:"
" I think for myself and dont need talking points from a bunch of losers to tell me what to think."
"No, they're about creepy people like you who think you know what's best for the rest of us."
"That theyre stupid as a post?"
"Speaking of dumb as a post, you're right on schedule. "
"It must suck to be you."
"We were told flat out by one of the resident prigs today that we weren't welcome here."
Pot call kettle black, indeed.
Iran wants that to happen desperately. The Iranian regime sees that as their ticket to a nuclear arsenal.
He already knows you fall short in this life, which is the whole premise of His Salvation on The Cross.

I wasn’t complaining about not getting things in one fell-swoop. I was just stating that we “one issue voters” would be blamed for the any Republican loss by the “Guardians of the Ballot Box” here on FR. I am constantly being told that only Rudy can win and then in the next breath blamed for his possible defeat.
We’re literally being told to shut up and go away then blamed for not participating!

This is the real threat. Us bickering among each other pales in comparison.
