And through the talk of her owner (which her owner thought she did not understand) Sarah Lee heard she was being discussed on something called a 'horse thread'.

'What can she be saying about me?' Sarah Lee wondered.

"What is she saying?" Sarah Lee asked of her friends , Letty and Maria Elena, who also have owners that post on that thread. The two horses glanced at each other worriedly. "What?" Sarah Lee pleaded with a shrill, alarming neigh. "Please, tell me. What did she say?" Letty patted Sarah Lee on her wooly, rust colored wither as Maria Elena closed her big brown eyes, sighed and whispered in her dear friend's notched ear. " Sarah Lee....we could be wrong ..but you may be for sale again".

It's quieted down considerably lately, but look back far enough and you'll find plenty. Problem is, when our people start posting, they start up again, and my regulars there are tired of dealing with them. So am I, really. I've invited them (my friends) all here, of course. Here's the aol URL: aol://5863:126/mBLA:65364.

Righter's Thread Sunday morning. Question for the day: Has anyone read any of Oprah's Picks and what do you think of them?

At that point the dog came trotting by. HJe was the Bad News Dog. He always brought bad news and sometimes it was true and sometimes it wasn't true but Sarah Lee never knew how to tell.

Bad News dog looked up at her with a nasty grin.

"I can read," he said. "And I know."
"You can't either," said Sarah Lee.
"Yes I can. Ha ha ha ha. They are sending you to the slaughterhouse at Belton. Ha ha ha."
"No!" said Sarah Lee.
"Yes. They are going to cut you up and send you to Belgium for steaks! Ha ha ha ha." And the Bad News Dog trotted off, very happy with himself.

Bad News Dog was fast but he was not fast enough. Sarah Lee kicked him in the tail as he trotted off past her. He went spiraling thru the air, yelping. Sarah Lee tossed her head and yelled "you picked the wrong day to mess with me, Bad News." Dogs drool but mares rule.

It was a dark night. Stormy my loyal, charcoal lab, slept. It rained. I cried.

She's going to make somebody a millionaire next Wednesday. Or maybe the bloom is off the rose.

My, she's scary looking. I wouldn't want to read anything she recommended.

Sure it is... it just takes time for us to all loosen up and get to know each other. Personally, I have benefitted greatly from just this weekend's conversation. You have been a tremendous help.

Tell me something about yourself. What kind of writing experience do you have? What are you working on? If you were Queen of the World what would you do?

On the "ping" thread, someone posted an excerpt for critique. You might want to check it out.
