I've got like 5 e-mail accounts, and my Hotmail account is set up for when I have to leave an e-mail address at a shopping site, etc. I just log into it once a month because the mailbox becomes inactive after 45 days.

Are these messages YOU are receiving, or are others receiving these messages with your address being the sender?

...because the mailbox becomes inactive after 45 days.

Try out www.mail.com and set up a "dumper" account. I have a couple there I use for spam and they never seem to go inactive...even if I forget and don't clean them out for quite a long time.

Another plus is that they offer free accounts with a variety of domain names besides "@mail.com".
