That pic never ceases to amuse me. Glad they didn’t issue him a magazine to go with the rifle. Guess there still could be one in the chamber?

<smile> You would be our own Seth Bullock ... a crazy man for justice ...

I found a website of the transcripts of each episode ... you can search it to get the exact text of the best rants ... http://members.aol.com/chatarama/

There will be two Deadwood movies this year on HBO, to wrap up the series. I await them with intense anticipation!

It’s not a very motivating day, is it? I still haven’t made it out the door a second time. Haven’t done much else, either. Whined to one brother for awhile, and talked to another brother who really just wanted the phone number of a third, but that’s about it.

Well, that’s a fine idea. Mornings can be most pleasant. We’re up to 40 degrees, whoohoo, global warming is finally kicking in. :-)

Warm and wet here... perfect grass growing weather, which, unlike Rosie, I think is a good thing :~)

*sigh*

Any time you get tired of waiting for your grass to grow fast enough to be mowed again, feel free to attack mine. ;-) Ungh.

If we could at least arrange to have one or two sunny days fall on the weekends instead of Thursdays and Fridays, maybe I’d get something done!

So...I’m on the phone with Comcast for 45 minutes...she has me disconnectin’ and connectin’ and powerin’ down and doin’ the Watusi and juggling three boiled eggs and sacrificing a live chicken...

Then she says “I’ll send a technician out on Tuesday.”

So I hang up all sad and lonely and look at the modem one more time. And I says to myself, I says...

“Wonder what this ~Internet On/Off~ button does.”

So, there’s that.

So....Jr’s car only needed an oil change today...

...and a fuel pump.

That’d be funnier if he had a job.

Did I mention I bought him his graduation suit yesterday?

That pic never ceases to amuse me.

That picture never ceases to amaze me. Hillary got her college thesis classified. You'd have thought Al would have had that picture suppressed long ago.

I've read some analysis of the pictue, and it's the mystery that just keeps giving. He's wearing a brand new (still factory creases present) rain jacket over field pants and field jacket. I doubt that was needed even in the Vietnamese highlands in the middle of winter. And he sure doesn't know how to wear a boonie hat, when he should be wearing a steel pot, instead.

He's got a feather sleeping bag and cover on top of his pack frame, when I doubt there was a single winter-type sleeping bag in all of South Vietnam. And not a trace of a magazine or ammo pouch anywhere on him. Plus, I'm totally mystified by what appears to be an inflatable "something" just above his canteen.

I also notice the generic reeds in the photo. This looks more like typical northern American bottomland than Vietnamese elephant grass. My unscientific opinion is this was a "photo shoot" shot at Ft Dix as part of Gore's creampuff MOS of "photo journalist".
