Yes, there are about 5 or 6 different ones; brightness, shadow, contrast, can't even remember them all.

One I can't think of intensifies the color.

It seems to me any volcanic area would be an innacurate choice to make such measurements, whether the area is active or inactive. Mt Erebus in Antactica is at present pumping out 1850 tonnes of CO2 a day.
