Again, just as Presidential elections do not go to the candidate who wins the popular vote, the MNC does not go to the team with the best record. All teams play their games knowing the deal. The title goes to the team that the voters think is the best, and that team is Florida.

Bottom line, Florida gets an asterisk next to their place in the Almanac. They came in second place to BSU. BSU had one more win, and one less loss, than Florida.

It's called strength of schedule. Get a clue.

Nope.

Washington Huskies, Notre Dame, Washington State, Cal

Pretty much Pac 10, or as an Irishman, Notre Dame. Learned to love ND through my grandfather, actually.

When Dennis Erikson became coach of Idaho, I was hoping he'd make them into a power, and then make a case for getting Idaho back into the Pac-8 (as it was then).

The BCS has urinated on the legacy of the Rose Bowl's Pac-10/Big 10 rivalry, for example. Though, if you look at the history of the Rose Bowl, it hasn't always been that way.

'OSU being evicerated by Florida'

CJ Spiller may be transferring from Clemson to UF, and is applying for hardship so he can play here next year.

Oh man, if this is true, we are going to be even better next season.

Hey I watched the game, half-time band show, after game awards, every last minute. I'm a huge SEC fan.

The game was a yawner to me because Florida blew them out. After Florida drove down the field and tied the game right after Ohio State had run the opening kick-off all the way back, even the most optimistic OS fan knew it was over.

Heck, the game was never in doubt at all after that drive.

Yawner? You bet..........

If Florida is in a championship game, one way or another, it's gonna be a blowout. 62-24, 52-20, 41-14.

What a pantload. If all of that is true, then why isn't there a swimsuit competition? Why don't we ask Coach Tressel what he'd do if we crowned him national champion?

This isn't politics, its football. You play it, and the guy with the best record at the end of the season takes home the hardware.

Should we adjust the computer programs to account for poise?

This is the FEMINIZATION of FOOTBALL

Here's to second place, the national champions!!

I didn't make the rules. Take it up with the BCS. Urban Meyer and I want playoffs. But it's not our call.

1) They beat Oklahoma. Not LSU. Not Florida. Not USC. The Big XII was terrible this year.

2) Boise State had a month to gameplan, and beat a good team. I give them credit. But the notion that they could make it through an SEC schedule is laughable.

I heard about that. What kind of hardship does he have that would allow him to play this year?

Now I hear he's staying at Clemson. I guess he found out he wasn't going to get the hardship. I guess he realized it wouldn't be worth sitting out a year to go to UF. Oh well, he should have thought about that a year ago.

"BYU won their National Championship by going undefeated in the WAC."

Against a sorry 6-5 Michigan team in the Holiday Bowl. The Washington team they should have faced, they played the next season with basically the same team and got thumped 51-3.

Florida would have had a shot at the NC that year, but we were put on probation and weren't eligible. We would have destroyed BYU.

The Charlie Pell teams coached by Galen Hall were great and would have made mincemeat of BYU as well as a few others who were not contenders.

Laughable. Why not Grand Valley State it was undefeated too.

Boise would not have been .500 in any major conference.

Bwaa haaa!

Hilarious! I thought "The Tressel" always had Everything under control?

On another note, I think those stupid little stars they ugly-up their helmets with are goofy and I'm glad UF doesn't do that.
