I was born in Cleveland, but my parents had the foresight to move to California when I was five so I didn't have to grow up in that cold, stinking city.
I have always rooted for the PAC 10 against the Big 10. I wanted Florida to win tonight so that Cinderella Boise State could be the only undefeated team.
Reading your posts after the game was almost as much fun as watching it tonight! You absolutely captured being in the Swamp, and then riding home from Gainesville, listening to the postgame shows. Thanks :) Go Gators!
Yeah, I was taking glee in their short-lived reign, but was still feeling a little sorry for little Colt. He could be good when he gets healthy, though. You have to hand it to USC for being in contention year after year.
The Big Ten's top teams got exposed. I think USC would have drilled the Buckeyes too.
Wow! Look at this headline:
BCS: U.S. Attacks Al Qaeda In Somalia
Oh, sorry. That's CBS. Nevermind.
And the reward to BSU for being the only undefeated team will probably be a final ranking of no better than #5?
I'm eating my heart out that USC blew their shot, but am glad Florida got their chance. It does boggle the mind to think of how close they were to not getting that shot.....
"If the game comes down to the final 3 minutes, and Buckeyes need to march 80 yards, I have full confidence in Troy. OSU fans have to see that he is the best Buckeye QB ever."
Ohio State had 84 total yards offense for the game. The southern SEC and USC speed teams defenses kill and take no prisoners.
I would vote BSU on their record but I think LSU is better team.
--Ohio State had 84 total yards offense for the game. --
I think that 62 of those yards came on one drive. A drive that almost ended early on a sack but resulted in a desperate pass to the sidelines (caught while falling out of bounds) and a roughing the quarterback penalty.
Thanks for doing the thread for the season. Go Bucks!!
The reward is the pride in knowing they were the only ones to go undefeated. Ohio State can't say that. Florida can't say that. LSU can't say that. If they get No. 5, that is probably just about right. I think it is really good to see.
I recall having a rather lengthy back-and-forth with someone on here, a couple months back, round about the Auburn loss, about the SEC being THE conference to beat. See, I like FSU, and OSU, but I think the SEC is year in and out the best conference in the country overall. And I was just waiting for the "SEC-sucks-in-bowls-in-2007" comments to pour in on this thread.
Doesn't seem to have come up much since the game started.
Congrats on a great season and a great game.
BBHS? (Well, "B" HS?)(I'm old enough to have known Mr Burnett, lol.)
I don't think anything will ever top these last nine months.
Maybe we can keep the roll going in April and defend our Basketball title.

They should see at least #4.
They should get #2 or #1. I thought going undefeated was the ultimate dream of any college football team....
Not me.
It was a rebuilding year and think USC over all has to be happy with the season, though not with specific games.
Where is the BCS game next year, never to early to make plans!!
;)
