do you think it will be that close? Only if OSU is overconfident
brilliant post
lol
Even I thought we had no chance against Nebraska going into that one, but I don't feel the same way here. Should OSU be favored? Absolutely. But I have faith in Meyer that he has come up with a gameplan to give us the best chance at winning. And I believe Chris Leak has one last good game left in him. It's going to be a nailbiter either way.
Smith is the better Quarterback, although Russell has all the measurables to be great someday.
Smith doesn't try to invent things that aren't there, kinda like Russell and Leak do.
I hope you're right, because the SEC can use another title... ;^)
The biggest advantage I give OSU is in how their QB can handle pressure. If we lose, that will be the biggest factor. Hopefully Meyer has addressed that in his game plan. Leak has the potential to have a great game, but he must resist trying to force things, like you said.
well part and parcel to who Troy Smith handles the pressure is completely dependent on if A) Ohio State can run the ball and B) if Florida can get pressure with the front 4 without any blitz help
If both happen to go Ohio State's way, it'll be a quick night.
If Florida can stop Ohio State's running game (possible) or get pressure without blitzing (maybe), it'll be a good game.
Three Words: Reggie F'ing Nelson!!!!!
I have been following him since HS. such a great guy all the way around
Florida has a chance, but they're going to have to play a perfect game in my head. This is like Texas-USC in the Rose Bowl last year. Vince Young played a perfect game. Florida is going to need a similar performence from someone...
Hey, it worked for my 4 year old son, who said at the start of the Capitol One Bowl: "I've got three words for you - P J HILL!"
Cracked me up then and your post reminded me of it again.
Of course, PJ didn't have a great game but Wisconsin did win.
The key is our special teams, we must win the field position battle. I think this is one area where we can have an advantage in this game.
I expect Florida to block at least one OSU punt/FG attempt in this game.
I expect our defense will bend, not break. Don't give up the big play, and force FGs when OSU makes it to the Red Zone.
A staple of Gator football going back to the Spurrier days, must not rear it's ugly head in Glendale: stupid, drive-stopping penalties. I have a gray hair for every stupid penalty the Gators have committed over the years.
LOL, as long as he didn't drop the F-Bomb.
It will be Percy Harvin.
Ohio State beats rock, paper and scissors.
Jim Tressel is Luke Skywalker's real father.
Ghosts are caused by Ohio State killing teams faster than death can process them.
The Buckeyes can build a snowman out of rain.
Ohio State can drown a fish.
It is impossible to be raped by an Ohio State football player because that would mean you didn't want it to happen.
Ohio State lost two games this year, but nobody has the courage to tell them.
Florida State won't even bother to show up. They'll just leave the trophy on the fifty yard line and kill their mascot as a burnt offering.
I hope Ohio State is as overconfident as their fans.
They won't. Unfortunately for Ohio State, it's that other Florida school that will show up.
LSU's group of receivers were fairly close in talent level to Ohio State's receivers, and we seemed to do ok.
FYI. The longest play the Gator D has given up this year is 48 yards.
Do you actually want to know which team will win?
